Welcome to the Indiana Chamber Executives Association Website!
What is the Indiana Chamber Executives Association? The Indiana Chamber
Executives Association (commonly known as ICEA) is more than 200 paid chamber
of commerce and associate staff members representing 99 local chambers of
commerce throughout Indiana who, through their collective strength, seek to improve
their profession and their organizations. These desired individual results are
bolstered by ICEA through formal and informal exchanges among members, and the
various conferences and programs conducted in response to member needs.
Why join? Quite simply - to take advantage of the knowledge and experience of
your counterparts from across Indiana. ICEA members also benefit from the following:
- Scholarships - annually, ICEA budgets a money to award scholarships to
- assist with the professional development of our members. Scholarship funds
can be requested for statewide conferences and national programs through
ACCE and the U.S. Chamber Institute.
- Salary/Benefits Survey - a solid tool to share with your board of directors, data
can be extracted from our assessment to do comparisons based on your
specific criteria.
- Discounted rates to two statewide conferences - A summer and a winter
conference are staged annually to provide you with the latest issues and
techniques needed for Chamber execs and staff members to be more effective
in their profession
- Hoosier Chamber Academy - this intense session focuses on the nuts and
bolts necessary for operating a chamber successfully. Academy class size is
limited in number and the meetings are held on four separate days in
Indianapolis.
- News - informational briefs are e-mailed monthly to keep you tuned in to
organizational news and trends in chamber management.
- iceaonline.com - your source for communicating with peers and resources to
help you in your chamber career.
- Peer network to gain new ideas and offer fresh programs for your members.
- Board strategic planning - ICEA has a network of retreat facilitators available
to work with your board of directors in conducting strategic planning sessions.
This is a fee-based service.
- Niche Programming - programs specific to newcomers to the chamber field,
membership directors and support staff members.
How much does membership cost? Very little! But to be more specific,
membership fees are based on your chamber's annual operating budget:
0-100 members=$85
100-300 members= $150
300-500 members=$200
500-700 members=$250
700+ members = $350
Annual membership fee is for the organization.Membership is billed on the ICEA
fiscal year of July - June.
